Comments:	I graduted DWUT in the year 1990 as Civil Engineering student. I was one of the working students since my first year of June 1985. In my third (3) year I was assigned at the college of engineering till graduation. I still remember Mr. Vilches went to the US for studies and came back after 2 or 3 years. I hope DWUT will be open for good as I knew that it will help students who can't afford to pay college as it did during and before my time.

My father, Salvador Cagurangan was once a Dean of Commerce when Divine Word College at Urdaneta, Pangasinan was opened. He was also hired as a Dean of Commerce at Divine Word College of Laoag City. While he was with Divine Word, all of us 8 children of Salvador Cagurangan were given scholarship while in High School at Holy Spirit Academy of Laoag City. I am planning to relocate at Carigara, Leyte, where a family friend is staying. The nearest University is Divine Word University. I would like to know if there is an opportunity for me to work at Divine Word University where I can practice my profession as a Certified Public Accountant. Comments:	It's good to see the pictures of DWU lobby and buildings again repainted and clean. It really broke my heart a few years ago to see the whole campus overgrown with grass, cattle roaming in the hallways with their droppings all over the place, the labs in disarray, the swimming pool filled with pitch black water ... where once teachers and students happily roamed in academic and other activities! Now the SVD is back in action again, and I can only ask everybody, especially the Alumni/ae to pitch in and help. I understand that the new Liceo is starting only with basic education. But indeed the charisma of DWU was in tertiary education: in its heyday, it had around 10,000 college students, with around a thousand each for High School and Grade School. I can only hope and pray that the new Liceo will again take up its apostolate of quality and Christian higher education .... I also urge the SVD to take advantage of the fact that almost all alumni/ae of DWU - and there are around 60,00

Comments:	hi to everybody out there who remembers that german gal who studied from �81 up to �85 in that beloved dwu! i just found this site and want to greet my old friends and classmates, hoping that someone might write. i�m back in germany, but my heart remained in tacloban, and it�s great to read the other messages from former dwu students (some of you i even remember!) last time i visited dwu was in �99, it was so sad to see everything closed. there were so many memories in every corner. i really miss those times. and i hope its reopening will be successful, although i don�t think that it will ever reach its former standards again. but only god knows.
